Talking Looking to Move to HK area -Modeling Agency

    Hello:
Looking to relocate and set up a branch of our Texas, USA based modeling agency out there.

    Any information would be appreciated.

Where I can find rental info, expense of things, how much they are charging for models out there, rentals that are cat friendly, getting around, etc.

    THANKS!

    relocating

rent in Hong Kong is really expenxive especially for commercial use...it also depends on the location, lets say you choose Central or Admiralty, rent there would prolly be more than 10K for a small space...Tsim Sha Tsui would be a teeny bit cheaper...then you have other areas like Mongkok, Wanchai,Causeway Bay which is always crowded...would you like to rent a space near your house or wouldn't mind the location at all, it also depends on your budget..check this site out gives you some info on the prices and location with poictures as well...hope it helps just click the location you want: Hong Kong or Kowloon then the name of the districts will come out on a map, click on the district you're interested in...

    models and getting around

public transportation in HK is great, you don't need to worry about getting around even if you live far...good night life here as well to get away from work and tress...try Lan Kwai Fong, alot of expats and bars..live music..As for the models it depends what kind of models you're interested in hiring.what are they modeling for? anyway what kind of modeling does your company do...?

    Talking Thanks Nat!

    Great Info!!
I'll get checking on it right away.

I've been getting several offers to send girls on 2-3 month contracts, and decided to just go in and do it myself.
Here's what i'm trying to do: familiarize myself with the areas, pricing, and then begin targeting clients, once I have a couple signed, then making the jump.
I was advised to get someone local to make a couple of phone calls to point production companies in my direction, and came here to hopefully meet people and get suggestions from those al ready living out there.

HK is a good place to expand your business in... there are also other modeling agencies here who have big companies as their clients...so yes i would suggest having someone make some calls to potential clients to direct them to your company and while doing that you could get yourself familiarized with the area before jumping in here without any back up interest from clients,if you've received good offers why not? you can always start small and eventually you'll get known through your clients, get recommended then get bigger...why not plan a short trip here to take a look at areas you might be interested in to set up your company, visit property agents to have a look at space for your company and to have an idea on the rent, get a list of companies for further info, have a few signed up them move here.advertise your company here,Setting up here will take some time but im sure you'll love it.
