HK Island to Hung Hom station

So I am trying to figure out our new life in HK and my friends tell me we should live on HK Island. It looks like we will both be working in totally different directions and as my location is the furtherest away (Science Park) I am trying to figure out the most convenient location on HK Island for access to Hung Hom station. Mid Levels East, Happy Valley, ??? What are the buses like, time taken. Or should I shell out for a taxi at least for the am commute to the station. There are lots of people working out at the HK Science Park so if people have opinions I am very interested to hear them

Why dont you live in Hunghom? It is 15mn by taxi to the Central / Wanchai nightlife district - hardly far from HK island and covenient to Science Park....

HK Island isn't always the best choice...
