White vests- so called because you so often see men who beat their wives wearing them.

Over-the-counter meds were mentioned, but also include any infant and toddler pharmaceuticals you prefer. We stocked up on Infant Tylenol, gripe water, etc, as well as adult meds.

You can get just about anything you want in HK, but might not be the brand you want nor the volume you want. You can also rest assured it will cost more if you want the same brand as at home, if available, and even then it might not be the same. Hard to get Costco sizes of anything here.

    Good luck!

One other thing to bear in mind - how much living space you will have in HK to store things in. This is a BIG constraint for me on the cheap stuff I know I can bring over from the US.

That's all I can think of now but I'm sure I'll come up with more later.

This is all too true. I recently bought a Simmons mattress here. It would have been about 10% cheaper to order one online in the US and then pay for shipping myself! The range out here is severely limited too.

I sleep on a Simmons myself. Never realized it would be cheaper to order from the US. Then again, mine is over 10 years old...
