So my only hopes are Employment which would be pretty slim since degrees are quite important, what if i had a CISSP cert? Again thank you everyone for your input.
    A sole proprietorship would be difficult from other posters on other threads (unless you have been in Hong Kong for some time). Opening up a business is doable, but again, the IMMD wants to see various things including.

    1. Qualifications
    2. A business plan
    3. Letters of support from actual or potential clients
    4. Provision for you to be employing local talent

    As a US citizen you will also be facing a number of additional tax issues being self employed instead of being employed here.

    The OP has as much of chance to move here as a 19 year old HK person who speaks zero English wanting to make it out to the US. Makes no difference if you're the most amazing computer wizard or not, it's just not happening. There are regulations and procedures and rarely are exceptions made, even for people with such Doogie Howser like capabilities as the OP. The OPs notoriously isolationist country does not make it particularly easy for people to (legally) immigrate there, why should HK?

    OP, if you really want to come to HK, why dont you just jump on a plane and come here? As a US citizen, you are entitled to 90 day visits without any visa. You can probably do a few trips to Macau before immd would start to ask questions. So I think you could stay at least a year or so before getting any pressure to leave. This is all perfectly legal and legit as long as you are genuinely a tourist.

    What is not really legit, but I dont see much harm or risk, is if you can build some business connections, online business, job hunting etc duing this time then this could be your ticket to a long term stay here. If you cant get anything within a year then its time to leave.

    I still think, as others do, that you are not going to find anything and you are better off finishing your degree and coming a bit later. But if you are so stubborn and have your heart set on coming here, then just do it.

    This of course will require you have some savings to live off. Also remember to arrange some private health insurance as you will not be covered under HK system on a tourist visa.

    @OP

    Have you considered education?

    I find it unlikely anyone in any country will hire you without a degree for a tech position, its very competitive at the moment and employees are either looking for someone that has done time at another respectable company or has a good tech degree.

    You are still young at 19, if your tech skills are what you make them out to be I am sure you can get a good degree. You could even try and apply at a Hong Kong University .

    They sure do. And many end up living in poverty in squalid US ghettos thinking 'is this the American dream'? Next...

    Does anyone else think it strange that someone interested in internet security started a thread about moving to HK, didn't like the advice he was given and acted like a petulant brat not long before Shri had his issues last weekend?

    It was interesting the sophistication of the hit was something not seen before in Hong Kong.

    Perhaps, to avoid similar incidents in future, we should ask posters whether they want the truth or a happy-ever-after fairy tale. Members of Geoexpat possess the exceptional ability to answer questions either way.
