    initial weeks in HK

    Hi
moving to HK just after CNY in feb 2011; initial period is in service apartment "the ellipsis" near happy valley...does anyone have feedback/ views on these apartments i.e. proximity to central, the crowd there, restaurants nearby etc.

also during these 3 weeks we need to look at some areas for staying, young family with 2 kids so some of the areas which have been suggested are kennedy town, pok fu lam, robinson road, happy valley, conduit road (!) for places like belchers, manhattan heights, grand panorama etc. is hkd 25k-30k reasonable to look for a 1000 sq ft unit in these areas? any other suggestions would be most welcome.

    cheers

If the kids are of school age then where they go will largely determine the area you live in...

    Hi pdlm

tks one kid is school going, we looking at SRIS for the time being as ESF has a waiting list. however ESF we have put the name under kennedy since it is based on catchment area concept and i will further seek an update from them once i am there.

    any thoughts?
