Just out of curiosity, what is it with living where there are few Malayali families. Indians I understand, but why specifically Malayali?

dear friends.... THANX for ur answr....... i never find any difference bt any malayali and punjabi, or indian and chinese or any other natives.. humans are just humans.. and they will be....... as we will be new to a country where we dont know anything., therir culture, what we can expect there, their eating habits, food availability, etc etc........... of course every particular place has their own food specialities..... if i can find a malayali there.. it will be very good in a way like i can know where i will get malayali's unavaoidable stuffs like our big brown rice, and every other things..... and we can talk in our mother tongue to someone.. which can keep at least a bit of homesickness away for the first few days..... and specially about my small kid... will he be able to cope with the climate there.. if he catches cold or something, where should i go.. so many things are there dear frnds for me to be worried..

dear friends..... unity in diversity is the keyword for India and will be.................

May be I should go around looking for people and living where people from my hometown live. That sounds ridiculous honestly.

Internet forum etiquette amongst the Malayali stipulates that when you wish to make a point or comment, the same point or comment must be individually addressed to each poster that has previously made points or comments within the same thread. Its just good manners.

At peak hours - at times, I need to leave two MTRs standing in que to board the MTR. Tram service is strange - as far as there is no announcement of stations - difficult for strangers to use it as where to get off - also it takes too much time - basically it runs at rikshaw pace. Buses also the same - no announcement - u need to figure out urself where u have to get off!
alot of us here use the bus, minibus, trams and mtrs and are doing just fine.

You do realise if you'd stayed in th UK you'd have it all to yourself since most of the population have seen the light and moved to Australia.

I don't know why it's not been made abundantly clear yet (maybe cuz there's not many Indian expats on this forum?) but if you are looking to live among Indians there isn't any place that will come close to having as many Indians as TST. There are buildings in TST that even have more Indians than Chinese.
