family moving from india to hongkong, good residential area to live in hongkong where most of the indians choose

i'm planning to move from india to hk by april last.. my hubbys company is on north pointh includes our small kid., 1.5 yr old.. can anyone here please tell me a safe and quiet place to settle in hongkong with family which includes our small kid... our company provides around10000 hk$ for housing..? is kowloon better that north point for expats or happy valley, or wan chai.. or any other good residential areas which most of the indians in hongkong live... is there anything special i should carry from here like electrical appliances or other stuffs which may be costlier in hongkong and cheaper in india....... kindly help me with this....
thanx in advance for the reply posts.......

Everywhere is safe. Expats live all over HK. If the company pays for your relocation then move stuff, otherwise buy new here.

don't bring anything. apart from maybe chapatis, everything in terms of equipment is usually cheaper here than india.

10k is not a big budget. you could get 400 sqf in/around north point, though around there i would rather recommend fortress hill or tin hau. or alternatively hang hau/tseung kwan o as you have a quick mtr connection to work.

Tung Chung also has a rapidly growing Indian population, over 700 hundred families and counting....

Not for much longer, The government want to turn TST into commercial property through rezoneing so residents have to move out eventually.

Yup Tung Chung is where the Indian families are moving to.

Malayalam. Spelled backwards, gives you malayalaM. There is a spelling mistake somewhere in this post.
