Location, location, location

It seems the more I read the more options there are. Very confusing....We will most likely go over before move with out kids to check things out.
But I do want to have a few key areas to check out before I go.
Any other suggestions on HK island or Kowloon?

I think you will find most recommend starting life in a serviced apartment so you can judge for yourself.
In Kowloon try Beacon Hill, Parc Palais and, I think, One Beacon Hill.
A lot of this will depend on your budget.
