Aussie moving from London to HK

I fly from LHR to HK this Saturday on a 6 month contract. Any advice on what i should or shouldn't be packing?

Also what's the best thread for socialising and getting on email groups for social events? I had a look at the ozhongkong site, are there any others?

pack the minimum, and just buy what you need there, is my best advice. (if you are going for 6months that is)
