    Yes but the fiscal year depends on the banks:
    Japanese / Australian banks bonuses are in March - May
    European mostly Feb / March
    US mostly Dec/Jan

    So the first few months you have to do with 43K only, then the bonus (if any) kicks in.

    Well they cap it at 24K a month equivalent - so hopefully my room mate will be able to fork out their proportionate portion (which would result in sharing a place with a banker - dont know if I want that thou)

    I will work at an european bank - and rumor claim that bonuses for first year analyst in S&T is pretty minimal given the current climate- hopefully this isnt the case

    It certainly is the case, Bonuses were shite across the board this year.
