The things we crave tend to be pretty specific. Clamato for red beer, for example (so trashy but delicious). Pancake mix and maple syrup.

Pancake mix - flour, eggs, milk...

Maple syrup is available in many, many places.

Well a quick Google shows that various "American" restaurants such as Al's Diner, Archie B's, and Paisano's sell it, so it must be available here. I think I've seen it in places like Great, and maybe even Wellcome. And various food delivery places have it, for example: http://www.sohodelivery.com.hk/resta...tid=488&type=0

@Clair ex-ax and Satay Sue: I should have been specific, the husband and I are attached to a specific brand of pancake mix from Squalnomie Falls and Mom and Pop's maple syrup. Now I'm hungry.

Really? Thanks for the suggestions. Guess I was looking at the wrong places. I need that A&W Root Beer fix soon, haha.
