A&M in Shun Tak Centre (still there, I was in over the weekend) has a lot of items mentioned but do know, you will be paying a hefty premium.

    Dill flavoured pickles, check
US toiletries, check (hubby swears by Degree deo and Axe shower gel)
    Pancake mix, check
    Maple syrup, check
Hansen's Root Beer (even diet, plus lots of other flavours), check

Sarsae is a sarsaparilla-based drink, a Hong Kong staple, and while similar to root beer, it's not quite the same (although I believe sarsaparilla is an ingredient in root beer).

If you can be more specific about which feminine items you're looking for, we can probably help.

Haha well, it may be junk but I definitely miss nandos, or grilled food in general (much easier to get steamed or deep fried food here)

I didn't say I disapprove of people missing junk... it's just an interesting phenomenon!

    Ribbed, flavoured?

    floss picks

I use floss picks to floss instead of regular floss string, and the only ones I find here are not like my EZ-Glides from Duane Reade! They are too coarse and break easily. I go through 2-3 picks each flossing. Maybe it's time to learn to use the string...

I hate root beer and the sarsi variety. Tastes like medicine.

Can't argue about sarsae/sarsi or whatever it's supposed to be spell liked. Taste horrible.

As for root beer, to each his own. Some (like me) loved it, others hate it, so whatever taste suits you the best. Besides, it's purely subjective preference there, so can't really argue on way or the other.

Think of it another way, what do you hate about the 'States that you don't miss in HK? Now that's an interesting question to ask...

Yup, if you are in a bar and they don't have root beer, just ask for a Ralgex & coke!

Oh, of course everyone has their own taste!
I'm from the UK. I don't miss soggy fish and chips - yep I prefer the fish & chips you get here (or in Japan, was always the nuts!), nice and crispy....(now ducks at all the abuse I'll get for that!)
