    I could confirm that your Panasonic plasma will not work in Hong Kong, even if you use HDMI with a PCCW digitial box. I wasted my time bringing my Plasma over and now I only use it to watch DVD's. No over the air TV, no cable box, etc... I found this out after I purchased a step down converter from Sham Shui Po. I ended up getting a LCD TV from a credit card offer. Should have done that to begin with. Shipping the TV was a pain as the insurance company would not insure it unless it was shipped in it's original carton or approved cartons.

    I say sell your TV on Craigslist before you come over.

    @gothamtohk,
    Thank you for sharing your experience and confirming that my plasma tv won't work in HK.

    Appreciate all the buying advice, will for sure refer to them when we get to HK.
