Well, now that depends. My previous office was directly across the street from one of the girly bars on Lockhart Rd, so technically I did have hordes of half-naked "Asian" girls waiting upon my exit. Rather a pleasant way to end a rough day, "Hun-nee, beer, only $20."

There's a lot of truth to that statement though

Jimbo, maybe in your world, not in mine....

I choose not to go to those places, and so do most of my friends.

For me a typical weekend in HK is:

Dragon Boat or trail running on saturday
    Cine with the wife
Dinner at home or at friends place
    Visit of some relatives
    Shopping for the week

I have the occasional drink in LKF with a fellow banker, lawyer or friend on weekday but that is 99%of the time a Happy Hour drink and I am back home at 8.30/9 PM max.

If you choose to go party all nights on weekend/weekdays, yes I agree with you - most people do not though.

Are you sure you are French? Where is your joie de vivre, your penchant for sipping wine in cafes? You...allow me to paraphrase Monty Python...pinchers of ladies bottoms are known for your zest for living.

    Ah, c'est la vie.

In all seriousness you really need to chill and not listen to your so called friends on this one.
I always find it amusing what is considered normal "perks" (having a mistress) that comes with your social status (being rich) is now considered a liability in politics in HK. Or it just goes to show how Henry Tang and the rest of his lot really aren't that smart as they believe they are.

Back to the topic. OP-If you are so worried about your husband cheating on you when he is in HK, perhaps you should worry about whether he is cheating on you back HOME. This lack of trust indicates a problem in your marriage, it doesn't matter where your husband is.

I think it's more to with her so-called "friends" planting seeds of doubt...

Just make sure you just "admire" these girls from a distance, you don't want to get too "intimate" with them if you know what I mean...

Mr Min's is much the same, without even the Happy Hour drinks during the week. Just the odd social function run by our Hiking Group (which I usually attend too). Not everyone spends their free time in a bar!
