    Mail Forwarding Recommendation

    Hello Expats,

I am looking for recommendations for a well priced and user friendly mail forwarding service from the US to Hong Kong. There seem to be tons of Companies that do this, but pricing seems a little "foggy" and I am wondering, if somebody has a good recommendation.
    Thanks in advance!

Won't your post office do it?

Well, it's not exclusively "to Hong Kong", because most of the activity is done online, but I've used a couple of services over the years and have been mostly very satisfied with my current one (virtualpostmail.com), after my previous one (paperlessmail) decided to exit the business at short notice (bastards!).

With VPM you set up a mailbox of your choice at their California office and are notified whenever you receive mail. They scan the front of it for free and put in online for you to see. Then you decide if you want them to open it and scan the contents (which costs a nominal amount per page), which you can then download to your computer wherever you are. If it's something important you can have them ship the letter/package to you wherever you want, e.g., Hong Kong (which, of course, is the real expense). I probably spend about US$50/month all-in, including infrequent mail shipments. Good luck.

Wow that is expensive. When I left Australia I think I had all my mail forwarded for a year for about 100 AUD - and that included all the crap!

I don't think USPS will redirect mail internationally at all, but UK Royal Mail charges about £360/year (per surname!) for international forwarding...

Thank you! Virtualpostmail looks promising. Their rates are much better than some other ones I have looked at!

I have been using Earth Class Mail for about two years. It has been just fine for us. Not terribly expensive and easy to use. They have a mobile app that allows you to see your mail on your phone too which makes it easy to delete unwanted mail.

    Good luck
