    Ha, ha, no, but I've seen him walking along the walkway towards the escalators and he definitely has an assertive way about him.

    Didn't we have a thread not long ago that turned into an -ahem- discussion about kids taking public transport??

    Seemed to me that the results of that bore out the idea that it depends on both the maturity of the child and the attitude of the parents. Some kids are fine to go from Tuen Mun to Shatin by themselves at 6, others still can't cope with Sheung Wan to Admiralty at twice that age.

    Re the public transport thing...

    If you are able to teach your kid to only cross roads at green men, not to speak to strangers except maybe shop keepers and policemen, and how to use a mobile phone to call you... what is the worst that can happen? Imo public transport is fine for any child who is old enough to follow simple rules, and they will probably learn a lot by doing it.

    No I am in Arizona in the U.S. my phone carrier will rob me for international calls I got it figured out I'll call Monday (or Sunday night on my side ).

    Thank you that sounds great! We are on own for rent but getting allowance for furniture. I planned on Ikea as the affordable option but this is a great second option too .
