    we pay 29k for our 3br apartment, in kowloon 2 br u prob looking at 25k or less for a good newish apartment so its really depend on ur lifestyle.. if possible try to get housing allowance it really help a lot


    i look at over 20 apartments some of them are old, small, smell bad... and those are in the new building (year 2000 + ) so prepare for a small space

    I have also been offered a post in HK. Also with a publisher. Also on 45K per month. And I am also looking for a 2b place. (am also a manc, but that is a different matter).

    I recommend you check out Lamma Island. Many expats live there, it is an artsy group, cheap housing, and easy 30 minute commute to Central. Go Lamma!

    a good apt with sea view in downtown is really not a problem with this budget
    I have seen some decent places in Causeway Bay (I need a park nearby) at USD 3'500 a month and great places at USD 5'000
