When is the best time to move?

Hiya,
I'm currently working in London but am thinking of moving to Hong Kong soon. I was thinking of teaching, but don't think I can move out until November due to work commitments. Is this too late - do you have to be there before the start of term- is this september?

Also- I was thinking about trying to get some bar work- do you think this would be possible without speaking any Chinese?

You won't be able to get bar work because you won't be able to get an employment visa for that.

(Unless it is an "exotic" bar such as Goodfellows, in which case I believe you might be able to get a short term "entertainer" visa.)
