Same here. I really miss the European summer, a lot more to do. Lying on the grass have a glass or two.. Cycling around..

Also the sunday locally produce food market- herby sausages, home-made antipasti, rare breed poultry. And yes, can't find any crumpets here!

I can't find any Indian Restaurants served curry with chips..

Would actually help if you were wearing something other than just a rain coat at the time!

climber... you always talking about portillo's KILLS me. I'd pay just about anything for a hot dog from portillo's about now. and the fries. OMG portillo's fries. and their chocolate cake is pretty good too... ok i'm done now.

sylvesterjay: I got aunt jemima syrup at oliver's a couple weeks back.

Now if only gateway can come through on the US pepsi (they are working on it they say) I can live my life in HK in peace.

You can't get clothes or shoes for the larger person without some difficulty. I am a shoe size 7-8 UK, and clothes size 20-22. M&S do a few things, but I am not an M&S fan. I have had some things taylor made for work, but when it comes to jeans and knickers, going to have to get brought from the UK with visitors, as I cannot find anything available online or in the shops. I moved over with one suitcase of 23kg and so could only bring the bare essentials. Fortunately have enough knickers for now!!!
Other than that, found everything I need available or some sort of substitute.

I bought crumpets from GREAT a while back. they were in the fridge section (near the mountain bread). check it out.

why oh why did someone have to mention Swiss Chalet? now I have a major hankering. their fries are THE BEST with salt and vinegar! quarter chicken dinner is the best deal around too!
best to go after 5 though to avoid the seniors' dinner rush.
