Recommendations for Estate Agents in New Territories & Kowloon

Hi everyone

Wondering if any of you have any recommendations for estate agents covering New Territories and Kowloon.

When looking for a flat to rent, do you ring up or just walk into one of the estate agents on the street?

I'm moving there next week so would like to start finding a more permanent place asap while I have my temporary place.

Could you at least tell me who the major real estate agents are in HK? i.e. like the Foxtons or something of HK if you are Brits!

It's NOT like the UK. Go and look around at neigbourhoods. When you find one that feels right, walk into the nearest agent (there WILL be one within 100m) and ask to see what they have got. Repeat in different neigbourhoods until you find something you like. Agents that have wide inventory across many places are rare, often just showing something from someone else and thus not really familiar with it, or are those expensive Expat Relocation Consultants which anyone wanting a sensible price place should avoid.

And they will ask what size in sq ft you want so you need an idea of how much space you'll get for your budget.
