Do you expect us to do the calculations for you? In HK we use HK$. And what is a lack? I have only heard about lakhs, but probably not everyone on this forum knows.

Furthermore: Is it monthly or annual salary? If monthly you are more than safe, if annual, forget it.

As hktraveller says, 8 lakhs per year is FAR below what you would need.

Assuming you need an Employment Visa to work in Hong Kong then the Immigration Department will not normally consider it unless your salary is above HK$20,000 per month, which is equal to about 20 lakh Indian rupees per year.

8 Lakhs = 800,000 rupees = 98506.40 HK$ at todays rate, if that is per month then you will be fine and lots of money to save if you have no children and dont want live in a 5 bedroom Mansion

If its per year then no chance will it be enough.

For a single person, $35000 per month is OK. For a couple it would be do-able. If you have children (particularly of school age) it would be very tight.

By what means did you apply for a "permanent residency visa"?

If through an agent, you have been scammed. Even IF you can a QMAS visa, it will only get you into HK to work legally; there's nothing "permanent" about it.

You are aware that the success rate for QMAS visas from India is very low, and that in any case the processing takes many months?
