coming to hongkong for 10 days for a short vacation. Please suggest any laundry

Dear All,

We are coming with my 4 members for 10days. Will be staying in hotel but there laundry would be very very costly as they charge per single cloth. please let us know the cheapest self service laundry shops(coin operated)..if available. If Not then please let us know how much a launderer charge..??

Laundry is about $32 for 5-6 lbs. But it varies. I believe there is only ONE self-service laundry in Hong Kong. All the rest you leave the laundry and collect it later/next day. It will not be ironed unless you pay extra. Where will you be staying?

TST/Kowloon is bloody massive, be more specific and maybe you can get some better help

I'm going to be a jerk here and ask, why don't you also include the address or nearest intersection? Presumably you already have the address since you already booked the hotel. There are hundreds of hotels, guesthouses and hostels in Hong Kong and not everyone knows them all. Just naming the hotel like you did creates an extra step for people trying to help you out because now they have to location the address of the hotel because you didn't bother to provide it.

Anyways, there's a Sunshine laundry on Kimberly Rd about five minutes from your hotel. http://www.sunshinelaundry.com.hk/e-index.shtml

There's also a laundry place on the ground floor in the Hankow Apartments building one minute from your hotel. The entrance is from Hankow Rd.

Many thanks for your time; also for giving details about Laundry shops near to my hotel. Actually "wtbhotia" had asked me hotel 'Name' so I just mentioned that. In India, one can get directions to nearby shops just by mentioning the approx. area so I could not earlier appreciate that I should have given the exact Intersection / Road Name - apologies for that and I will keep your input in mind for future. I use the Sunshine Laundry Adore mentioned albeit on HK island and they are both pretty cheap and pretty good. No complaints so far.

If you pay in advance they offer a discount too. 20% i think.
