Funny how I actually served John Cleese at a certain Berlin five star hotel many years ago. He was tall, imposing and a dry sense of humour. I was supervising room service and on a very busy night, went up with his dinner and after knocking, he actually answered and glared down upon me, in a mock Jeeves tone, "You rang!?" I think of it more as something from 'The Munsters', but I never forgot that moment. Forget the acrimonious divorces wrung through the tabloids back then ( Early 2000s) , he was actually a funny and appealing guy. Not a sex bomb, but entertaining with the bonus of having a talent for obtuse facial expressions. Although I only met him once, I did hear that John Cleese was actually a regular at this hotel, namely because he was treated as another eccentric John Doe ( had a lot of them stay!) and nothing further thought about.

Maybe when I retire but at the moment, I have no time to sit except in front of the PC for work reasons.

When John Chapman died during my senior year at school, my school mates wore black arm bands. Another memory.
