Uselect for most of your daily necessities depending on the size of the store.

From my experience there are no one-stop grocery places in HK.

One of the most frustrating things about living in HK. who's got the time in such a busy city to go to half a dozen supermarkets to get everything you need?

We live on Tai Hang Drive, and tend to alternate between the Park'n'Rob (on Moorsom Road) and the Jasons (on junction of Perkins Rd and Tai Hang Road). I didn't think there was a USelect anywhere nearby though (we use Honestbee for picking up stuff from USelect)

I did go to wellcome next to MASS. Very small. What's a big grocery store here?

You can also go to / have your helper go to one of the few Wholesale Vegetable, Fish and Meat markets of Hong Kong.

The two I know of (and have been to) are Cheung Sha Wan Wholesale Market, and Kennedy Town's Western Wholesale Market.

Yeah something about having a live-in slave from a developing country who's left her own family to clean my toilet, raise my kids and buy my groceries, earning a pittance, doesn't sit right with me... Can't put my finger on what it is exactly

Feel free to pay her more. Do note that most helpers have done (in my experience) multiple contracts, and are therefore quite knowledgeable about where to get what. My current helper introduced me to HK's Govt Wholesale Food Markets, and trust me, no better way to shop for groceries here.

There's also this nice Importer/Distributor by he name of Goodwell, who sells all sorts of imported European and American foodstuffs. They're located in Wong Chuk Hang, and do deliver around HK, Kowloon, New Terr, etc, by a weekly schedule.
