So who’s drinking from the tap, boiling first or bottled only.....I’m already sick of humping 5ltr bottles round and considering the boiling option?

I drink from the tap, boiling it first. But that's just a preference. It's fine to drink from the tap without boiling.
The only concern is that if you live in an old building the piping could contaminate it.
I've been drinking from the tap directly for quite some time (cept washroom taps for obvious reasons lol). Boiling is actually not a bad option to consider as it is safe (and cheap) but then the only drawback with that is the cooling period.
Drink from tap, filling up large bottles and keep in fridge. we all have double walled metal flasks to keep it cool.
We are using Brita Filter pitcher... the water tastes good, but I hope it's safe
Brita filter to remove the chlorine smell... perfectly fine. We tested it too and the results were very good.
You won’t ever be able to convince most local people that the water is fine.
Usually Brita filter then boil. Living in village houses.
We find the chlorine taste too strong and boiling improves it. Other suggestions for how to improve the taste?
We have also tried this, works pretty well:

Until I moved to my present location, always drank straight from the tap.
Now living in an area with >50 year old pipes, and found the tap water gives me the trots, so either boil or use the water dispenser bottled water provided for us.
