why is everyone talking about an exit plan when they haven't arrived yet. Its up to the OP to decide what he / she / they like about HK.

It's not like they are going to some hell hole with no infrastructure, no hospitals, and women being attacked on the streets.

hong Kong has been run like a sports team for many years, attracting exactly the talent they need like the OP

but unfortunately, unlike a sports team, they can’t get rid of people they don’t want

So I think it would be sage advice to tell them they would come across a lot of these unpleasant “unwanted” people in Hk. And most do, in response they stay in their lane, tune those people out, make their big bucks, and move on to the next city…
