    ok - i think i got the information i wanted from the beginning
    thank you all for the help

    basically technician dont make much in HK
    but to get higher pay would mean to open own shop.

    i had personal reasons to consider about HK. tat was all.....
    sorry for the inconvience

    I have a local friend that has his own garage, he has one staff, he is open 6 & 1/2 days a week, after deducting all his expenses, he makes less than 20K a month. Life is hard.

    There are many garages in HK, yes HK people do not want to or even have the knowledge to do minor repairs so they take it to the garage for servicing but due to the market has so many garages it is often hard to make lots of money.
