I'm looking for a reasonably priced moving company to ship my books (about 20 boxes) from Washington, DC to Hong Kong. I was trying to get a quote from several international moving companies, but they didn't think my shipment would meet their minimum volume requirement. Any suggestions for moving companies that will handle smaller shipment? Or perhaps there's a better way to ship books? Thanks in advance!

SevenSeasWorldwide are great for small shipments.
Bear in mind that if they come by sea then the humidity in the tropics is liable to have a less than good effect on the books, so don't send any rare or valuable books that way!

Indeed - 20 boxes of books is about 5 times more than you could fit in the average HK apartment!

ooops... didn't think of that! Though my studio in DC is tiny, too. maybe i won't need 20 boxes after all. hope i can find something bigger in HK. Thank you for the very helpful information! I placed an order with Seven Seas yesterday. This forum is great!
