I stand by my recommendation. Very efficient, very smooth, exactly as promised. No issues at all.
Hi. I'm Scot - I used my real name and initials when I wrote that original review because I wanted the company to know I was writing it. The whole story is completely true, and the original paperwork was given to me by the driver who picked up my boxes, filled out in front of him, and handed right back to him. They then bumbled every email I sent with the paperwork after that... but didn't tell me each time until months later, in email, despite me having sporadic email at the time and asking them to call, which they never once did. I wrote the original review and as you can see still google "seven seas worldwide reviews" to see if they've managed to invent a bunch of sites to push down the lingering memory of mine and other bad reviews they've received, or see if one of their trolls has come around to sing the companies praises.

I'm not saying that's what you're doing at all, you have cynicism and reading stuff on the internet that's probably a good thing to have. But I assure you, my story is real, I'm not snotty, and they screwed me good - and the manager's smirking attitude on the phone telling me I had to pay more for storage after their own incompetence left an anger that as you can see still flickers with curiosity once in a while.

    Would not use again

Several of us were sending about 35 cartons of belongings to Hong Kong from the UK. We were on our way moving and could no longer afford to do all detail check on the website and browse through every FAQs. This is a company recommended by our friends who sent stuffs back last summer.

We rang the company after getting the quote online for book boxes. As you can see door-to-door is more expensive than door-to-depot as there is a specific address. Our friends last year said the service was ok, not expensive and things are just slightly damaged. We have notice that another friend in London decided to send things back using door-to-door, which they claimed would waived HKD$900 for 8 boxes or below for clearing customs tax.

We rang the company again with an asian lady would could hardly speak english telling us that there are no customs tax in Hong Kong but there is to China. She sounded very unsure and when we asked precisely that sending things door-to-depot would than be more expensive she kept giving misleading and inaccurate replies and did not actually answer the question.

We stress again a few times about hidden charges and costs and they have reassured us there will not be any. Now that the cartons arrived and we are asked to pay an extra of HKD$800 more for customs tax and duty. We emailed them and they reply to my friend simply saying that the money will need to be completed before any of the cartons could be picked up and extra charge will be needed for late pick up for storage.

Most importantly, the customer services are not satisfactory and the ''NO HIDDEN CHARGES GUARANTEE'' for students are absolute nonsense.

very stressful trying to deal with ssww. They gave me a final invoice much larger than the original quote. The only differance they could come up with were unreturned carton, that I had not ordered anyway. They claimed 4 but there were only 2 which the driver would not take. That was 20 pounds extra for nothing, what the rest of the 'no hidden charges' are for I have yet to find out. No documents were ever sent, had to print them off and no times were ever kept. Most of the people on the phone are useless, one or two exceptions. Take 3-4 days to reply to emails not 1-2 and then they never answer the questions you asked. In my case they got my stuff, charge extra for things you never had then start to charge storage if you do not pay in a week. Do not use is my advise.

    BAD BAD VERY BAD

After two months, my box is stil missing and they're still unable to provide me with a clear status. Is my box in China or elsewhere, nobody knows apparently. I'm very surprised they failed to track and locate my shipment. I 'm sincerely disappointed and strongly unsatisfied by their services and by the way how they cared or they don't care of my concern: many messages, many calls and...........no feedback. Obviously unprofessional!!!
May be I will find my box in a few years! who knows!!!

Rmb to send them back you documents.................

I would not recommend this company to anyone.............................
I was not the one to pack my thing and so they didn't receive that piles of document.
So after they collect my boxes that's the only time they send me a e-copy of those documents. Then, I filled them in and sent them back to their emails..........
    .........................................
I called 6 times and sent 3 email to track where my boxes are....
I don't know where they are.........................................
They took ages to reply you.....
and the ladies on the line could help you at all.................................
My boxes are still not here yet, but it should be here two weeks ago...................................
    So................I am not impressed................................

TV SMASHEDand items arrived 2 months late! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

    NEVER EVER USE SEVEN SEAS!!!!
I just received all my items shipped from Singapore to the US.
My TV is completely smashed and it is not because of the box because I used the exact same one from crown relocation which shipped this tv from HK to Singapore without a scratch!
On top of that the items were supposed to arrive early September and we are now in November...

I have used a couple of shipping companies in the past and since my employer didn't pay for it this time I decided to go cheap.. that was a huge mistake!

Pictures speak for themselves you are much better off using a reputable company even if more expensive.

    Thumbs down

My experience with Seven Seas Worldwide has been the worst one of any removal/shipping companies that I have used before, and I have shipped boxes both internationally and domestically at least 20 times during my lifetime. I asked Seven Seas to ship 2 boxes from Hong Kong to UK and, I admit, I did then throw them a curve ball. Once they had collected the boxes in November 2012, I needed to change the order and have them delivered to a different address in Hong Kong.

Trying to request this change was very difficult as I would email them with no response and their number would ring out with no answer. When I finally did manage to get a consultant on the phone, she said she needed to call me back once they'd gone through the details internally. I never got a call back and couldn't get back into contact with them.

I finally received an email in February 2013 saying that they still needed some paperwork for the boxes to be sent overseas. I then responded explaining my request again and they wanted to charge me storage for the time that I was waiting for their call or unable to get in contact with them plus a mini-move charge. However, I was able to get them to give me 2 months free storage and waive the mini-move charge, which left me with just over 2 months storage and a change of service charge. I agreed and paid this and then arranged the date of delivery. During this correspondence, Seven Seas confirmed the new delivery address in an email.

On the day of delivery in March 2013, Seven Seas delivered the boxes to the wrong address (the original address that they picked the boxes up from) and I had to collect the boxes from that address myself and get a taxi to the new address.

I won't be using Seven Seas again but it's up to you if you would trust a shipping company that can't even get the delivery address right.

I'd echo most of the negative comments on here - they are incompetent at best (if I'm being generous). We are currently suing them as they have lost part of our shipment and refuse to do anything to locate it.

Their customer service is terrible, they are never able to sort even the smallest issue without speaking to half a dozen people. Plus you always have to call them back, no matter how many times they promise to do so.

Spend a little extra and use somebody, anybody else other than this bunch of charlatans.

I got to say, my experience with Seven Seas shipping has been pretty good, took away the hassle whilst I was stressing about the move from UK to HK.

I sent around 16 large boxes in April using their door to depot service, thinking that it would be easy for me to find some company to lug to boxes from the depot to my flat. So I was surprised a few months later when I got a phone call telling me my boxes will arrive at the flat the next day.

All boxes arrived in pretty good order, not much dented corners, I didn't mind if the boxes were thrown around as I lined the inside of each one with heavy duty bin liners and wrapped everything with clothes and the huge roll of bubble wrap they supplied.

I didn't get hit with any hidden charges, no customs tax on delivery.

In January this year, I still had a few suitcases of stuff I needed to send over. Being now based in HK, I ordered 8 boxes to be sent to my father's address in UK, which he duly loaded up. I received an email a few days after pickup that I didn't contain a copy of my passport. What with the time frame I was working with, and the logistics of getting a scanned copy to my father in time, I accepted them charging me for not supplying a copy of my passport.

I find that every time that I've had a need to phone or email them, the response has been pretty good.
