Yes - this is the factor that would put me off a regular long commute by bus. Unfortunately, too many drivers in HK (whether it be buses, minibuses or taxis) seem to feel that accelerators and brakes are binary devices (i.e. they are either full on or full off) rather than continuously variable. They seem utterly incapable of driving smoothly. I often find journeys quite nauseating, and can only wonder how some people seem to be able to work on a laptop or read in such an environment - I'd be throwing up within a minute or two.
