is North Point a good residential option for a single person

is North Point good to live in in terms of safety, and quiet neighborhood? will I be able to find a decent/relatively good condition small studio or small 1 bedroom apartment for $6,000 HKD/month?

North point is a good area. I nearly rented a 1 bedroom flat there but decided to live in Sheung Wan cos it was walkable to work. You will have to pay 7-8k for a decent flat. I had my eye on a 9k flat 5 mins from MTR. Rent has gone up 30% in the last 6 months.

Really depends on where you want to stay. IMHO, All apartments along Tin Hau Temple Road (aka the so call Eastern Mid-Level) are good while those along King's Road are not.
