Learn by TV ???

    Here is an article outlining the series. I remember it being released in 2001, but not sure if its still running, or if you can buy it on DVD/VCD. Let me know if you find it, as I would be interested in seeing it too.

    i currently use Pimsleur which i like more than all the podcasts i have found.

    I have 90 lessons (30 mins each) of mandarin.

    i also have 30 lessons for Cantonese...which i havent started yet.

    and i just got back from China...picked me up some japanese cartoon called "Hanada Shonen-Shi"

    looks cute...we will see how far i get...lol

    Hi!

    I've come across clips from a series called "Travel in China" a couple of times, which you may find useful, if dry. It's more of a lesson format, rather than a TV show so it might not be what you're looking for - typically it starts by screening a scene and then goes through and explains some of the phrases, before recapping and showing the scene again.

    i found southpark in cantonese...but no mandarin so far

    it looked wesome though...cant wait to find it in mando

    any places online that sell it?
    im all set for lesson stuff...just looking for some good "real world" type stuff....
