wouldn't it be better to get one that taught in a neutral English accent, like perhaps, someone English?
They probably want someone who is going to have the same accent as his parents to prevent against confusion. If he is having difficulty speaking I imagine the last thing you would want to do is make what he is hearing from a teacher differ greatly from the sounds he is hearing daily from his family.
As for the OP, sorry I don't know of any here.
Sam Pygall. I don't know her number off my head. She is American-trained and certified in clinical competency.
Bah! She is a Brit...she is gonna talk funny and confuse everyone..not even close to a Guatemalan accent. doesnt qualify as far as I can see :-)
But seriously, she seems to have good qualifications:

Then try looking in ASHA's website n see I'd there's any clinician in HK. Quite a few parents find me that way.... Note: I am not an ST

I have a mate moving to HK and looking to put his 2 kids into Australian school. One was accepted, the other rejected because they apparently have a speech impediment. Bloody ridiculous. He told the school to get lost and now has to find something else for both kids. Im guessing the OP is not my mate if you are looking for someone American.
