Can anyone recommend a good Mandarin school around the Central area in HK for weekend lessons (either small groups or 1:1)?

This forum, geoexpat or Asiaxpat is the worst place for you to ask for this kind of advice. You need to understand that those inferior language schools use sites like this or any other social network site to bad-mouth the genuine schools who know how to teach, that's their way to survive in the competition.

I really don't think so.

Me and 1 expat took 10 session with hkllc, and had a blast.

The other one you would want to try is chinese university of hong kong, but you already too late for enrollment for this term.

you always can check them by going to those school by yourself. Pay attention to the facility, how many students they have, class size, native teachers from mainland china, etc
