Never having really studied in a formal way I guess I will need help to pass intermediate speaking test. Interestingly the verbal only test info screen uses Chinese characters so not much use to an illiterate like me!

I've done some research before I enrolled, CUHK came on top.
Apparently I found out there's also TST branch for CUHK Putonghua program. Are there any significant difference between the TST and Shatin branch? Quality-wise?

The TST branch is used for the evening/weekend courses only while the regular courses (half day every day) are done at the main campus in Shatin/Taipo.

I believe the Mandarin course offered by CUHK has a pre-requistics that students already know Chinese characters (i.e. read / write Chinese).

I have enrolled in the Nov advance-class too. Yes, I reckon that have the best teachers and teaching method too.

No, not at the beginners's level for non-native Chinese speakers. I started without knowing Chinese characters - they start teaching them on day 2.

It comes with audio CDs and 5 different assignments for each lesson.

They work us hard, I really enjoy the lessons despite the 3-4 hrs homework each day
