Hello,

I plan on getting a LLB from an university in Scotland, University of Edinburgh to be exact. I want to complete the PCLL program and practice in Hong Kong after I graduate. However, I am concerned about the six core subjects that will not be offered conversion exams (Contract, Tort, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Land Law and Equity). Has anyone with a Scots law LLB ever been given credit for these six subjects? Also, how many conversion exams did you guys have to sit besides the 3 top-ups? I tried contacting the Hong Kong Conversion Examination Board but they said that I would have to submit an application for evaluation. The problem is that I haven't started my program yet and I don't want to study at a university where the six core courses would not be accredited by the PCEA. Help?
