Opportunities for Art Education in HK

    Wonder if anyone can help.

I am working full time in HK. My girlfriend, who is not a local, has nothing to occupy her during the day and is looking for activities. She has an undergraduate degree and doesn't want to start a formal graduate degree. What she would like are art courses or similar courses on a part-time or semester basis. Ideally these would not be tremendously overpriced and offer studio time.

Does anyone know where we might turn? Also, what is the state of continuing education in HK? Does anyone know if it is available to non-residents?
    Much appreciated.

The obvious question: What is her visa status in Hong Kong now?

Thanks for the responses. At present she does not have a residency permit. If we got married, that would change. I assume from this message, it is NOT permitted for people without permits to take classes?

she would have to apply for a student visa....

maybe you should check immigration website: Immigration Department |

for more information on the various visas available...
