HKU Halls

Hi everyone,

I recently received an offer from HKU with a requirement that is extremely attainable, so I'm almost certain I will be heading there in the fall of 2013. However I have a few questions regarding the halls.

Is it possible for me to be part of a hall, but not board at the University? My parents strongly prefer that I stay at home with them, and since we only live a 30 minute bus ride away, spending extra money for residency seems unnecessary.
I really wish to be part of a hall and take part in all the activities that comes with the experience! I heard somewhere before that this might be possible as long as I pay a monthy membership fee (which I'm fine with), and was also wondering if anyone knew more about this?

Hi not sure if that's what you are looking for, but there is non-residential halls at HKU and you can find the info from the website www.cedars.hku.hk
