Indeed - the UST website looks fine to me.
i think he was referring to the university website, which is a bit crappy and confusing indeed.
actually it's quite funny: you can see from the universities websites how internally focused rather than customer focused they are rather. it's all about professors, titles and departments rather than what services they provide...
I respectfully disagree that the programme ranking matters mainly to status concious people. The higher the programme in the rankings, the more selective it is. Some argue that the learning content does not matter as much as the candidate selection process. Top MBA programmes are notorious for looking for 'future business leaders' and they do have a thorough selection process which - I think - no company can match.
Some argue, the B-school can graduate the student the day following his admittance... he-he.. because half of the 'job' is already done by ensuring an excellent student pool.
Having gone through a highly-ranked MBA programme myself (Insead), and having spoken to a few MBA-ers from lower-no -tier programme, I am confident that the quality of the students (their experience, education, internatinal outlook, motivation, open-mindedness, etc) is one of the key characteristics of the programme.

it may be a bad website (not even sure) yet they are now rank 6th in the world. Time to reflect on this
I realise most of the discussions here were around the full time MBAs.
I am looking for a part time MBA / EMBA, and considering between HKUST / HKU / CUHK. From what i gather from FT, HKUST EMBA is ranked 1 in the world, CUHK ranked 6th, while HKU MBA isnt ranked (although they claim that its the number 1 MBA in Asia).
On the cost side of things, HKUST EMBA is nearly double (HK1M++) that of HKU and CUHK.
Any one with views on how the EMBAs / part time MBAs compare?
thanks.
