Schools for S. Lantau kids

We would like to relocate to South Lantau, but finding a primary school seems to be the show stopper. There are no places available at the S. Lantau International School or the new ESF school opening in DB, and the DB international is just too expensive (debenture).

Where else do people send their kids to? Are there "ferry mothers" who take little guys across on the ferry and meet school buses? How much time would the commute take to get to any of the schools on HK Island or Aberdeen for kids living on South Lantau.

Without a place in one of the S Lantau schools, I just don't see how we could make the move.

I'd appreciate hearing what other people are doing and how it's working out.

I am in the same situation. I moved to DB and my son goes to school all the way to Pokfulam ESF. I am looking for mothers that will ferry pool and, even though everybody says it is really easy, i just cannot find anybody. ESF in DB has a loooong waiting list and DBI too.
