    School fees in HK

I am doing a quick survey about how companies here in HK are providing children school fees reimbursement
to employees. I know this was done few years back but I am more interested current market trend.
I would appreciate replies from people who are posted here from their company back home. If the results are positive then I will propose this benefit to our company HR here.

Note: debentures can be categorized into "some fees paid".

None, nothing, nada, zip, zilch. husband on secondment from UK company. It isn't their policy to provide over and above what local staff get.

Nothing from my international employer, but if I has stayed in the 'quasi-civil service' position I help previously for all of six months, I would have been eligible for school fee reimbursement.

And you wonder why these civil service stay in the same unhappy, unimaginative job for their entire careers (and lives)?

at my firm (for school benefits only):
    - Expat package (Managment level usually, ie Executive/Managing Director Level): Debenture and School fees fully covered
    - "Detached" package (middle management or relatively senior peeps: ie Director/Executive Director Level): Nothing
    - Local package: Nothing

My company pays the tuition fees including the capital levy, but not school bus, uniforms, extra curricular activities, etc. The damn school bus alone still costs me more that an entire year of education back home in Australia

We pay all on our own. Hubby works for Middle Eastern Investment company. We didn't get any of that when we lived in the Middle East either. Too bad as tuition and fees are crazy expensive with 3 kids.

from current voting stats, seems like it is 50-50. Though it seems more common in temp postings to HK rather than permanent.

50/50 would seem much higher than my own unofficial "talking with people throughout the last 6 years". I would guess less than 25% of expats get any sort of education package. And if you count mainland Chinese expats, that number could be under 10%.

    just my guess...
