Hi all, I have recently completed my PGCE with University of Sunderland (January 2022 Intake with passes in all subjects) and I am waiting to receive my certificate from the university. The board had their meeting last week and I am needing the certificate before February for a job opportunity. Any idea when I should receive my certificate?

Have they sent it to you or did you just finish?
If they sent it to you and you have chosen the DHL option to send it to you it will be to you within a week.
If you JUST finished, then it will take a month.
So my suggestion would be for you to ask the Uni to send/scan you an official letter saying you finished and that you are waiting for them to print and send you the certificate.

Thanks for the response. So I finished my final assignment over a month ago. I have got in touch with the university and they have sent me letter say I am done but it is not sufficient for the employer. They want completion certificate, it doesn’t need to be a hard copy so I will email the university asking if they can please scan and send me a copy of the completion certificate when it gets created. How long after completion of your final assignment did they contact you about how you want the certificate sent? I know the head of the course has a meeting with the tutors which was last week and then with the board to confirm everything which was this week and now it’s just the admin staff creating and sending out the certificate which I am hoping doesn’t take long.

In theory, all your subjects and the pass/fail marks should be in the transcript page of your sunderland log-in.
Could you use that as well?

Anyone completed University of Sunderland PGCE and now teaching geography?

Would ask for anyone who has the PGCE completed specialising in Geography or is teaching geography at a local or international school now to PM me as I would like to consult him/her on a few matters.

Have you heard of Moreland’s teaching program? Lately I’ve been hearing mixed things about it not being equivalent to a PGCE anymore. Do you know if that’s the case?

I've never heard of Moreland. I remember Nottingham's programme didn't count in the eyes of the HK qualificaitons board. Sunderland's PGCE programme counted for me and countless others, so unless someone has proof of that has changed I'd stick to it to be safe. If someone can show you a recent HK qualificaitons assessment saying the programme they completed was deemed to be equivalent to a local PGDE then that should work, but I don't know of another you can do while in HK besides Sunderland.
