    So?

I don't know why people have such hatred for TV. It is language with context, and enjoyable.

Interesting thread, reminds me of when I was teaching final-year secondary school students in Taiwan. It's the time when moms take of time from work to help them to prepare for University entrance exams. I described to them what my final semester was like in secondary school in Canada. I only needed two more credits for University, which meant I had school from 12:30pm until 3pm and almost zero homework. Some of them cried. Being robbed of their childhood thinking there is no other way and then realizing that they've been lied to all those years. I would cry too.

Who said they hated TV? TV is great, in moderation.
