advise on language and culinary schools

    hi,

i am planning to move to hong kong. During my stay I would like to join language (to learn mandarin and Hindi) and culinary schools (about a year long course). I have studied hotel management in the past, but i didn't complete my degree, so I probably wont be eligible for a masters course. So I am looking for a culinary school which doesn't require any educational qualification. I have started researching on google but I am not aware of any specific school as such. It will be great if any of you could share some information on this.

    Thanks for your help.

I think CUHK offers Putonghua courses where you can get a student visa.

Yale-China Chinese Language Centre | The Chinese University of Hong Kong

This one for cooking (but not sure it's OK for the visa). You need to be a high school graduate - F5 in HK is for 16 year olds.

There are few Government vocational schools such as

    香港西廚學院
Hotel, Service & Tourism Studies << IVE

I remember going to the Chai Wan campus many many years ago for a class on the basics of fine dining for fresh immigrants. Great class and professional approach by the staff and students.
