    PCLL 2017 - Urgent

Hi guys, I am a Malaysian who has a LLB (2:2) from University of Leeds. (note also that i was on a transfer programme - so i only did my 3rd year in University of Leeds).

Whilst i have a huge interest in getting admitted to HK Bar, I reckon that my chances of getting enrolled in a PCLL course are extremely low, right? I can speak native Chinese, English and Malay (not so fluent for cantonese). But i assume that won't help much these days, considering almost everyone is multilingual?

I need some advice as to whether i should take the risk to sit for conversion exam and apply for PCLL after that.

Your reply is much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

I am actually aware of the need to take conversion exam. I was asking about the chances of getting PCLL place in any of the 3 providers, after i passed the conversion exam.

Because i heard that it's really hard to get a place. And it's holding me back about even attempting conversion exam (because i could have studied for the bar exam in my country, although getting admitted to HK bar is what i have been wishing for).

    Hi,

Your chance is really slim with a 2:2. The minimum requirement is a 2:1.

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

If im not mistaken, the minimum requirement for PCLL is 2:2?
But yeah I also think that my chance is really slim. I guess I should probably drop my plan of taking the conversion exam then.

    thanks!

Get admitted somewhere overseas and then come to HK and do the OLQE. The odds of a 2:2 getting into PCLL are just too low.
