    Laptops / mobile devices are brilliant for putting in "to do" type things that one needs to remember.

    The writing this is a memory aid (or in my case specifically - slowing down my thought pricess) - I cannot recall when I've ever gone back to a notepad and looked at any notes.

    Parents generally play it safe and avoid all tech.
    The problem is that what they think isn't tech actually is.
    Pen and paper works well but it has it's limits... And it's out of date.

    The problem is actually addiction. Some books are addictive, some apps are not. See beyond the medium - is it habit forming?
