Mandarin Language center for beginner

Hi Everyone,

I have searched these forums and unfortunately didn't find anything recent or up to date regarding this topic.

My working schedule does not allow the flexibility for group classes and so I would like to take private Mandarin lessons (I am a complete beginner).

I was wondering if anyone else has taken private lessons at any of the language centers around central? I've been quoted approximately 450hkd/hour by two of the places, any idea on what the going rate is nowadays?

Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated,

There are some ads in the classifieds sections on this forum - plenty of Mandarin tutors for you to choose from.

HKU Space does 13 or 15 weeks I think(?) of Mandarin lessons (3 hours a week) for 6900. Not sure how much good that would be for you.
