I think the advice on teaching business English, and perhaps presentation skills in English is a good line to pursue. There is definitely a market for that amongst professionals (both locals and other non-native-English speakers such as Japanese and Koreans).
Again, thanks for all the suggestions and advice. I must say I hadn't really considered the need for business English, at this stage - I'm perhaps still in "semi-retirement" frame of mind. Must change that. Thanks for the tip.
I'm going over to HK for a few weeks for a direct look at the scene (pun intended .. and my wife wants to catch up with family, I'm sure, so any recommended focus, or other pointers would be much appreciated.

Can you give me some more information on the TEFL course in Zuhai. (Cost, name of the school, etc.) The EDB does not accept online courses anymore.
Thanks
what about this one offered by Chinese University of Hong Kong?
is that equally recognized as a TESOL in Trinity ?
School of Continuing and Professional Studies The Chinese University of Hong Kong
I called up CU and found out this program is a 10 months program. This is a postgrad degree for education. Once you have that, you can teach in the public first or secondary schools. Still can't find any other company that offers the TESOL cert aside from English for Asia.
