Student Visa Expired.... "renew" or get a a new one?

    Dear All,

Since I am on exchange away from my university in Hong Kong, my student visa for hong kong expired. I am now out of the country. The real problem is the fact that my HK student Visa has expired.

Does this mean that I can just go through the normal "Renewal" process, or does it mean that I have to get an entirely new visa and start from square 1. I am relatively sure it is just renewal... but who knows.

Thanks for any help- I really appreciate it in this confusing situation.

    Alex

So you are not from Hong Kong, got a student visa to enter Hong Kong to study in Hong Kong, but now you did an exchange outside of Hong Kong?

basically It is a question of whether you can "renew" something that has expired.

You have to renew the Hong kong Visa, by applying for testimonial and filling up the student visa application form.

If you don't renew, it would not be possible to enter hong kong in student visa and may have to re-apply for it after entering as visitor.

It would be better if u can ask the university people!!
