Best place to live in Western with 2 young children

Just moved here from the US. Looking for a place in Kennedy town or Western District (somewhat close to Cyberport) to live in the 40-50K budget. Would love to be walking distance to restaurants, bars, amenities for kids (3.5 and 5 years). Anyone have any suggestions?

Are the kids booked into a kindergarten or school yet as that will dictate where you should move due to the catchment areas.

We are hopeful for the elder boy to go to Harbour school. With no ESF primary availability and limited international school availability, we are focusing on getting him in and having the youger follow. If Harbor school is the outcome, we can live anywhere.

Obviously there's Bel Air. But for some real life, there's Belchers and lower life, there's the Merton.

Going the other way, you could consider Aberdeen or Ap Lei Chau.

I really do not know what you mean. Is it a local Hong Kong term?

No, I guess he means us poorer folk have to make do with the Merton rather than the refined air of Bel Air...so basically he's a snob!
